The 2010 Winter Olympics started last week in Vancouver. If you have been watching the Olympics explain what has been your favorite event or events so far and why they are your favorite? If you haven't watched the Olympics yet, what event would you like to see and why?
I would like to see the biathalon, because they have to ski through slopes, and at certain stops, the must shoot small targets the size of a little bit bigger than a quarter. Fastest time wins.

I have been watching the Olympics.My favorite event is the Women's Halfpipe. I like the halfpipe because I like watching all the tricks they do. I wish Hannah Teter would of won gold a gold but an Australian did two tricks in one!

My favorite sport in the Winter Olympics is figure skating. I like figure skating because it is amazing how the men can pick up the girls with out falling down. They must be so strong! I wish figure skating was on all year round.

My favorite game in the olympics were watching Hannah Kareny win the gold in Moguls when she won I was so happy! Also Lindsey Vohnn wining gold in the downhill sking because of what went on before her when almost everyone crashed. And when Apolo Onoh won the gold he was so good

My favorite event is the womens and mens half pipe because i enjoy watching the cantestents do all of the different spins and flips. The reason i like is because of 2 people Kely Clark and Shawn White.

ReplyDeleteTwo nights ago I was watching the halfpipe and there was some pretty good snowboarding people, but even though we didn't win that event we still hung in there. It is my favorite because I love snowboarding. I don't have a snowboard, but I use my sled as a snowboard sometimes. One time it was icey when I used me sled as a snowboard in Feb. like two years ago anyway I had a scave on my nose and chin and the same week I went to school and people asked what happened and I said, :A snowboarding acident". I have watched the Winter Olympics, and my favorite event is a tie between the Women's Downhill skiing, or the Men's Halfpipe. I like the Men's Halfpipe because I think it's more exciting than the Women's because they go higher in the air. I like the Women's Downhill skiing because my favorite skiers are Lindsey Vonn and Julia Mancuso. They are really interesting, though I hate to see people fall because I don't like when others get hurt.

My favorite was when they did the luge. I thought it was cool to see how they could steer and how fast they could go! I think it would be cool to go down the ice, but a little scary!!

My brother and I have been watching the olympics a lot. My favorite event is Ice hockey because it is a great sport and my favorite player is Patrick Kane because he plays for the USA. When he isn't participating in the olympics he plays for the ChicagoBlackhawks.

Lily. I really like to watch the Olympics. My favorite sport to watch is the Figure Skating. I like to watch all of the turns and jusms and lift they do and because they must practice alot and it is alot of tension when you are watching it because you dont want them to fall. I watch the Olympics every night. They are so neat to watch.That is what i like about the Olympics. GO AMERICA!!!!!!!!

I usually dont watch the Olympics, but this year I really wanted to watch the massive ski slope and the awesome luge tracks. At Christmas, my Mom got me a mini-luge, so I know what it fells like to ride one. I also like the figure skating because I watched my aunt skating like one of the Olympic skaters.

I've been watching the Winter Olympics for the last couple of days.Some of the things people can and will do is amazing!The skiers were fast going down the slopes.The snowboarding competition was...WOW.So many tricks to do on a piece of wood with latches.Even the figure skaters had a needs a lot of strength to do.There are also other events that I saw, but I am running out of room to comment.I hope I get to see more.

I've seen the winter olympics a few times, and my favorite would have to be hockey. Ice hockey is my favorite becaues it has action and and tuo never have a pause really like in the other sports. I've been a fan of ice hockey and hope that that I will see more of it in the up coming times in the winter olympics.

I have watched the Olympics a little, I watched skiing. I was so into it I didn't want to leave the room or change the channel. It was so cool you didn't know who was coming in first. One time is was going back and forth between the first and second contestant. Then to see their exprssions on their faces they were so excited. For the others they have tried their best and worked hard. The Olympics are amazing.

I didnt watch the olympics yet but if I did watch it I would want to watch ice hockey because I love ice skating and playing hockey but i havent ever played ice hockey i want to though. Alot of people said that they love watching ice hockey. I have watched curling for like five minutes and i dont really understand what they are doing but it doesnt even look fun at all.

I have watched the olympics a little bit, and my favorite event is figure skating. I especially like pairs figure skating. I like figure skating the best because I love skating myself and I love watching porfessionals do really cool tricks at the same time. I also love trying to figure out where they will be placed.
