We took our 6th grade field trip to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia on Wednesday, April 15th and had a GREAT time! We saw many different exhibits like the Franklin Air Show, Sports Challenge, Giant Heart, and Chronicles of Narnia. We also saw the 3-D Shark show and the IMAX show Jorney into Amazing Caves. Tell us what your favorite part of the day was (yes, you can have more than one favorite part) and why it was your favorite.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the field trip to the Franklin Institute was the Narnia exhibit. I loved how you got to step through the wardrobe into Narnia. Also, I thought it was really cool to see actual props from the movies. I liked looking at the costumes, for example the Witch's dress and crowns, the battle armor, and the crowns that the kids wore. The whole day was awesome, but the Narnia exhibit was probably my favorite.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the field trip was the 3D shark movie because it was AMAZING! I always thought 3D movies were going to be stupid, but now I learned that it seems that you are basically in the ocean or the movie. I also learned about sharks! I had never knew how big sharks can be. For example, a Whale Shark can be up to 60 feet! WOW!

I also never knew that inside caves are were we get cures, find new bugs, and were cave explorers... explore! But this sport is very dangerous. But could you just imajine just climing down one million tiny insects and the rush you would get from a live or die situation? I think it's pretty cool.

I loved the Franklin Institute. I wish we could go there again. My favorite part when we were at the Institute was the iMax movie. I felt like I was climbing with the people in the movie. I was also scared in the beginning because My friends and I were up so high! ONe of my freinds was scared, so she wouldn't let my arm go the whole movie. We were relived at the end of the fantastic movie, but I still wish I could see the movie again!
